Parking options during your stay in Amsterdam

If you are travelling to Amsterdam by car, please be aware that a parking ticket is required in the entire city. Parking costs in Amsterdam are relatively high compared to other major cities. Therefore, we have written down multiple options that could make parking easier, but also cheaper.

There are a few different options if you would like to park your car here in Amsterdam:

  • Parking your car in front of the hotel entrance (public parking spot)
  • Parking your car via Valet Parking service ‘Hotel Parking’
  • Parking garages within 15 minutes walking from the hotel

Parking your car in front of the hotel entrance
When you arrive at The Toren, you will notice a few parking spots in front of our entrance. These spots are public and not owned by The Toren. You are not able to reserve one of these spots, but there is usually a space available.

When parking your car in front of the hotel, we recommend already getting a ticket before you check in. Parked cars are checked often for valid tickets and a fine will cost you about €130.00. Tickets are only available at the blue parking machines, usually located on street corners. Cash is not accepted in these machines, you can only pay by credit or regular bankcard.

Parking tariffs:

  • Hour tariff (60 min.) €7,50 euros

When purchasing your ticket, you need to fill in your license plate number. There is no need to put any receipt behind your window but do make sure to keep it just in case.

Valet Parking Service (Hotel Parking)
If you do not need your car during your stay in Amsterdam, you can choose to have your car picked up by Valet Parking service ‘Hotel Parking’. Hotel Parking is an external company that we work together with. The driver will come collect your car at The Toren and will park it in their own parking garage. All tariffs are including collect and return costs. They are open from 07:00 till 22:00.

Parking tariffs:

  • Day costs (24 hours) €40,00 euro
  • Extra hour (per hour) €4,00 euro
  • Return outside opening times €50,00 euro extra

It is only possible to pay the driver by cash when the car is returned.

It is not possible to schedule a pickup before arrival at The Toren. As soon as you arrive, you can park your car on our canal for a minimum of 1 hour. A separate paid parking ticket for this hour is needed. We will then make sure that the driver is on their way to collect the car. You can either leave the keys with us at reception, or you can personally hand over the keys to the driver.

Parking garages within 10-15 minutes walking from the hotel
There are also several parking garages nearby the hotel within walking distance. The costs of parking garages are usually much cheaper than when you are parking on the street.

The parking garages need to be reserved online in advance on their website.
